There's been some internet buzz recently about which remasters this set contains. Unfortunately, no information on that is given in the booklet, though it does contain the following statement on the back page: "Originally released in 2011 by Universal Music Limited, Korea". I think, then, that these are what some people refer to as the "Korean remasters". I really don't have much information on the remastering history of these recordings, so I can't clarify that any further. I did carefully compare the Beethoven 5 from this box with the same recording I have in a DG box that I happen to know was the first CD release of the 60s Beethoven cycle, and I found that it's a different (and therefore later) remaster. I also found the differences to be very slight. These are older recordings, but based on what I've heard so far, sound shouldn't be a problem with this box.
