说到FR64S就要说到静态平衡与动态平衡这两种唱臂区别,这是常见的支点唱臂给唱头施加针压的两种方式,这两种唱臂都需要依靠唱臂后方的重锤来给唱臂做到支点平衡,静态平衡是用臂杆末端的重锤来改变支点平衡从而给唱针施加针压,而动态平衡则是在使用重锤调整臂杆支点平衡后,再用外力(弹簧、发条、或者磁力)来改变支点平衡来给唱头施加针压,这两种针压的区别是静态平衡臂针压会受到唱片厚度或者变形改变臂杆的高度,此时针压也会因为支点的不平衡也会随之改变,但是动态平衡唱臂的好处是支点施加的外力是理论恒定的,说以不论唱片的厚度是否有变化,施加的针压也是不会改变的。

可以看到FR12针压刻度轮是在重锤上的,扭动刻度轮是扭动内部齿轮,使得重锤前后移动来给唱头施加针压:

FR64S的针压刻度轮位置在支点轴承上,打开刻度轮可以看到类似发条的结构,用以给唱臂中心轴施加固定拉力,在使用过程中发现FR64的发条结构能长期稳定而且针压及其准确:
