奥地利指挥奥特玛 舒特纳去世
奥地利指挥奥特玛 舒特纳（1922－2010）于上周五在柏林去世，享年87岁。今天得以报道。
多年来舒特纳一直就职于东德，是德累斯顿国立歌剧院的总指挥（1960－1964），随后从1964年到1990年是柏林 下林登区的歌剧院指挥。
他专长在莫扎特，瓦格纳及斯特劳斯，但同时也指挥过许多当代作曲家作品。
舒特纳同时也是东京NHK交响乐团的名誉指挥，从1977年到1990年任教于维也纳音乐表演艺术大学。
因疾病缘故，从1990年起终止了指挥和教学工作。

Austrian conductor Otmar Suitner dies

Austrian conductor Otmar Suitner died last Friday in Berlin at the age of 87, it was reported today (Tues).

Suitner worked for many years in the former German Democratic Republic and was chief conductor of the Staatskapelle and the Staatsoper in Dresden from 1960 to 1964 and conducted at the opera house Unter den Linden in Berlin from 1964 to 1990.

He specialised in conducting works by Mozart, Wagner and Richard Strauss but also led performances of the works of many contemporary composers.

Suitner, also honorary conductor of the NHK Symphony Orchestra in Tokyo, taught from 1977 to 1990 at today’s University for Music and the Performing Arts in Vienna.

Illness forced him to give up conducting and teaching in 1990.
