In 2010, Maestro Riccardo Chailly records Johann Sebastian Bach for Decca for the very first time with 3 releases. The St. Matthew Passion, the Christmas Oratorios and begins with the 6 Brandenburg Concertos.
Chailly’s Bach is played on modern instruments and beautifully demonstrates that vivid, stylistically-aware performances are not the exclusive preserve of period instrument ensembles.
