THE OMNI 260, the flagship of the new OMNI series is a quasi- three way speaker that utilizes the OMNIGUIDE module housing a 1" PTH- pure titanium hybrid tweeter suspended over a 6-1/2" titanium deposit driver. The entire module is situated on an angled platform at the top of the loudspeaker. Traditionally, Mirage has used speakers firing both out of the front and rear of the cabinet to create OMNIPOLAR sound dispersion, with OMNIGUIDE this is no longer necessary.
Each tower speaker is outfitted with 2 removable grills, one to hide the top OMNIGUIDE segment and another to conceal the front firing 6-1/2" titanium deposit driver and specially tuned flared port. The OMNI 260 uses 3/4" MDF for cabinet construction as well as high quality 5-way mounting terminals and tip reducing stabilizing legs with threaded spiked feet. The result is a much more refined and finished look of a traditional loudspeaker with unprecedented sound and performance that you have come to expect from Mirage.
The 260"s have an 8 ohm nominal impedance (4 ohm minimum) and have a frequency response that goes from 35Hz~20kHz +/- 3dB. Maximum power handling is rated at 200 Watts. Finishes include a choice of Black Ash or Cherry.
