KEITH JARRETT《THE KOLN CONCERT》
几年前在爵士乐迷中兴起的德国独立品牌ECM热，现在似乎并没有消退的迹象，在最初只是北京和上海两地的乐迷进行着疯狂的ECM收集活动，而现在，全国的各个城市，都有着一群群忠实的ECM迷。
从封套的意境到内容的格调，ECM的产品始终保持在一个相当高的水平线上，而最为人们了解的ECM之声，以其空旷冰冷的北欧情绪，让人在音乐中找到了真正的冷酷仙境，事实上在这种误读下，许多人把ECM认作是NEW AGE品牌。
但ECM并不只是NEW AGE或冷酷仙境，KEITH JARRETT就是最明显的例子。
KEITH JARRETT，ECM中的最重量级大师，《THE KOLN CONCERT》，ECM经典中的经典，爵士乐历史上最著名的钢琴独奏作品。
1975年1月24日，在科隆歌剧院，KEITH JARRETT举行了独奏音乐会，音乐会的录音构成了《THE KOLN CONCERT》的内容：2首独奏作品，第一首26分钟；第二首分为三段，总长度40分钟。
JARRETT是美国人，但他的音乐却是欧洲化的，于60年代崛起后，他至今仍活跃在爵士乐界，这位钢琴狂人，一生的作品主要分为三个部分：
1、四重奏。在70年代早期他同时和三个美国人、三个欧洲人组成两个四重奏，前者以前卫爵士为特征，后者则是完全欧洲化的自由爵士。
2、独奏。KEITH JARRETT的独奏，通常是没有任何谱子的即兴发挥，上台就弹，根据自己的感觉和情绪弹到哪算哪，而每次独奏音乐会上的作品都不相同，因为他每次都是即兴发挥，下了台弹过什么也许连他自己都不清楚了。
3、古典。KEITH JARRETT曾经录制了一大堆古典钢琴作品，有时还心血来潮地去弹古钢琴，也不知道他在想什么，总之他弹亨德尔和巴赫在古典音乐圈里也是数得上号的。
在这样的扼要背景介绍下，我们多少可以从文字中触摸到《THE KOLNCONCERT》，在技巧上，我们可以明显感受到BILL EVANS、BUD POWELL甚至是ART TATUM的影响，但在情绪上，《THE KOLN CONCERT》却几乎是德彪西和拉威尔化的，每个人可以从自己的感觉出发，对两首作品进行印象主义的描摹：教堂、山川、流水、鲜花等等等等，一切都是意境化和氛围化的，用流畅的钢琴声建筑而成，细碎而模糊，你可以感受它们但绝对无法触摸到它们，在整个弹奏过程中，JARRETT不时用细节的即兴发挥给我们带来各种各样的情绪变化，让我们沉醉在不同的脑海幻想之中，不一定完整，却犹如置身美梦之中。就在JARRETT这样的不停的弹啊弹中，我们迷离在现实和梦幻之中，记忆散落成无数的碎片。
